Spatial Skills Research

Original Value and Contribution

Why It Matters?

“Spatial skills are often referred to as the ‘sleeping giant’ — approximately 80% of occupations rely on these skills.”

Literature Gap

Limited and Western-Centric Samples

Previous studies have predominantly relied on small, homogeneous samples from Western countries, resulting in a limited number of cross-cultural comparisons.

Original Contribution

Same Instrument, Eight Cultural Realms

The project collects data from eight distinct cultural realms using the same standardized instrument, making cross-cultural comparisons possible for the first time.

Expected Outcome

First International Normative Values

The norms established for ages 12–18 will serve as a foundational reference for future academic research, cross-cultural comparisons, and educational policy development.
