GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
1. The title should be centered and in bold capital letters. The name and the surname of the author should be given immediately below the title, right aligned. The author’s academic title, institution, and email address should be included in the unnumbered footnote to be given at the bottom of the page.
2. After the title and the name of the author, Turkish and English abstracts should be included of a maximum 300 words each in 10pt font. The title should also be given in the English abstract.
3. Typeface should be Times New Roman and font size should be 12pt. Font size in tables, footnotes and references should be 11pt.
4. Text should be written justified according to A4 paper size in Word Program and left blank 3.5 cm from the bottom, top, left and right and 1.25 cm from footers and headers.
5. There should be no spaces between paragraphs, Indentation: 0 cm. Spacing: first 6pt- then 6 pt and line spacing: single line spacing
6. Rules for citation and bibliography
a. For CHICAGO Bibliography:

b. For CHICAGO footnotes:

c. For APA Footnote:
APA citation should be shown in the text as: (Anderson, 2010: 259)
Example: Hukukî biçimi bakımından Islahat Fermanı da tıpkı Tanzimat Fermanı’nda olduğu gibi “misâk” değil, tek yanlı bir işlem, bir “ferman”dır (Demirci 1999: 111). Terim olarak ferman ise, bir iş, ifa edilmesi gereken bir görev için hükmü padişah tarafından verilen ve padişahın tuğrasını taşıyan yazılı emirdir (Demirci 1999: 111). Islahat Fermanı, Tanzimat Fermanı gibi bir “anayasa” değil, “anayasal belge”dir. Ferman usûlünde hükümdar, tek taraflı olarak, kendi isteğiyle, kendi kendini sınırlandırmakta, tebaasına birtakım haklar bahşetmektedir (Gözler 2007: 18).
Intratextual quotations exceeding four lines are to be placed in paragraph form beneath the text:
“Ve mahsulât-ı memâlik-i Şâhânemin nakli için icap eden turûk ve cedâvilin küşâdıyla ve emr-i ziraat ve ticaretin tevessüüne hâil olan esbâbın men’iyle teshilât-ı sahîhanın icrâ olunması ve bunun için maarif ve ulûm ve sermaye-i Avrupa’dan istifadeye bakılması esbâbının bi’l-etrâf mütalaasıyla peyderpey mevkiî icrâya konulması maddelerinden ibâret olmakla” (Bianchi, 1856: 23-24).
c. For APA Bibliography :

The bibliography should be sequenced alphabetically according to surname in the same format as the footnotes at the end of the text.
7. Tables and figures should be numbered separately; references should be specified below the relevant table or figure in 10 pt font.
8. Original documents, pictures, maps and similar images not directly related to the text should be numbered and added at the end of the text, not included in the text. High resolution images should also be recorded on a CD and sent.
9. The texts of papers should be between 10 and 20 pages.
