The Cultural Informatics, Communication & Media Studies (CICMS) conference is an organization held annually since 2018 by the Faculty of Communication at Aydın Adnan Menderes University, focusing on communication and its related sub-disciplines. By 2026, nearly 600 interdisciplinary papers on communication and communication-related topics had been accepted, making a significant contribution to the academic field. First held in 2018, CICMS has since been organized in collaboration with communication faculties both in Turkey and internationally. It was held in a hybrid format in Nicosia in 2018 and 2019 with the University of the Aegean (Greece), in 2021 with Erciyes and Ege Universities, in 2022 with Cyprus International University (Northern Cyprus), Erciyes and Atatürk Universities, in 2023 with Ege and Dokuz Eylül Universities, and in 2025 with Near East University (Northern Cyprus). The event will be held in a hybrid format at the Bushi Resort Hotel in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, between May 20-22, 2026, in collaboration with the Faculty of Communication of Firat University.
